Bullets

A quick solution. The second amendment says we have the right to bear arms it doesn't say we have the right to have bullets.

The NRA could prevent deaths if they lobbied as hard to keep the mentally ill from getting guns as they do to keep automatic weapons legal.

I'm not against guns. I'm against the harm they do.

    1. I say this stuff, but I'm not against guns or the second amendment, I'm against the abuse of the second amendment for pure profit.

    1. Yes, that's on of the problems is access and abuse. The second amendment was written at a much different time. We can't be expect it to have the same literal meaning.

  3. If they take away the bullets, I guess everyone would just figure out a way to make their own. They would probably make their own guns too...

    1. I'd have no problem with that. My problem is with the gun manufacturers who give gun owners a bad name by feeding false information and for putting profit over safety.

  4. Maybe the 2nd amendment didn't mean guns at all. Maybe they meant arms, the two appendages that hang down from the shoulders.

  7. I like the last one John. You know in Ireland we have very, very strict laws about guns and like you, we had to overthrow the British to be Independent and it took guns to do that. But we understood that there was a time to lay down our weapons and live peacefully. We have no mass killings and very little murder. I'm talking about the Republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland are still stuck with British rule, so they need guns still.

    2. I love Ireland. I have great time there and the people are wonderful. Common sense is over ruled by the gun lobbies and gun manufacturers here. We are third worldish in so many ways.

    1. There aren't any quick solutions here. It's America. Where corporations are entitled to freedom of speech.
