My favorites are the jokes about your dad. I've never seen this show and I'd like to now. I'll check out the YouTube as the Hubby would enjoy this as well.
What a fun show. And to think, we got rid of shows like this to make way for "you are not the father" and "my neighbor is a jerk, so let's take him to court." Great job, TV executives.
"Thank God she was wearing pantyhose." Yep, that's the one that got me. I thought you meant things that make YOU laugh. Some things make me laugh (i.e., that picture of Richard Simmons screaming "PANCAKES!!!!"). Like my prom pictures.
Thank you. It was a fun show with great audiences. Sine the audiences stayed for the 3 shows I did, they were laughing as I walked out, That makes it easier,
Your manner and delivery, plus the content of the jokes, make you hilarious. It's also funny watching these people force themselves not to laugh. Well done, John. I used to love watching this show.
That face alone would crack me up!
ReplyDeleteYes I feel the same way when I look in the mirror.

ReplyDeleteIt was a fun show. I did three of them. The best part was being around my fellow comics.
DeleteThe facial expressions alone are enough ha!
ReplyDeleteIt took me years to figure out how to do the material the right way. When I work longer sets its a challenge and have to change the pace,
Deleteha. what a fun concept...i like the show...an its funny to watch them trying to hold back their laughs...
ReplyDeleteWhen you're doing it you don't even notice. I was concentrating so hard on the material,
DeleteSome of them look rather constipated as they tried not to laugh. Must have been fun to try and do.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun. The weird part was when they brought a special guest. I had Kato Katlin and I knew him so it was hard to work to him.
DeleteI am very, very hard to make laugh. You would throw me out...
ReplyDeleteNo I wouldn't it would just give me more screen time.

ReplyDeleteIt always changes, Right now the best shows are dramas, like Magic City, Dexter, Homeland, Board Walk Empire, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Killing etc.

I don't know if I'd laugh or not at Richard Simmons but I surely wouldn't eat pancakes again.
DeleteAwesome! What a fun job. :)
ReplyDeleteThe highlights are great. :)

DeleteThe pantyhose ones would have brought me to a full laughter immediately. Fun-eeee.
ReplyDeleteI need you in my audience all the time!

I think some one is trying to bring it back. There's been 3 generations of it.
DeleteMy favorites were the 3 presents one
ReplyDeleteThanks. I should write more present jokes. I actually never thought about writing more.
