New Years

On New Years I went to a formal at an insane asylum. Black ties and straight jackets. It was a bitch putting on my cufflinks.

I had a traumatic childhood, my father wet my bed.

I think of impotency as saving it for myself.

You outdid even yourself today. I almost fell off my perch when my birdbrain read the straight jacket one.

    1. I can't even put on cufflinks with a regular shirt. I do have Mickey Mantle cufflinks.

    1. Not enough to pound some common sense into me. I have no brains to rattle round.

  6. These were all good today John. I could hear those last two coming out of Dangerfields mouth and you wrote jokes for him. Did you write the "I was so ugly as a child they had to tie a porkchop around my neck to get the dog to play with me."

  7. No, that's a very old joke. My favorite of his, which he wrote was, "My doctor told me I was sick, I asked him for a second opinion and he said you're ugly too." I loved Rodney. He was a good friend and wonderful person (once you got past his shyness).

One of the jokes I wrote for him was. I have terrible luck. The other day I went to the race track and when they shot off the opening gun they killed my horse."

Thanks for your compliments. Being mentioned in the same sentence with Rodney is a real honor.

  9. When I say he was a special person, he really really was. He loved to help out young comics. He showed up at my wedding on cold day in late November with a Hawaiian shirt on. Here's a pitch. All that stuff and more is in my book. Pitch is over. Have a happy Saint Patty's day.
