Congress

In congress being bi partisan means screwing voters from both parties.

Our leaders might not be so quick to start wars if they had to wait as long as our veterans do to get adequate healthcare.

Congress may fund wars but out veterans pay the price.

If you would like to read my interview with Jackie Martling it can be found here.

    1. This is the least effective congress in history. And they continue to take time off. AND GET PAID.

  3. Such a fitting theme for tax day. As a Navy brat and an Army vet I totally understand the adage: There's nothing to good for our troops overseas. And that's just what they get: nothing too good.

    1. Wow, I never heard that, but it is true. My dad was a second World War vet and as he got older he kept seeing the VA benefit and the quality of their health care drop.

  4. I don't align myself with Republicans or Democrats so in a conversation about politics that means I'm wrong no matter what I say.

    1. Never quit heard that put that way, but it's funny and true. If everyone in America got their benefits and they're working schedule, you'd see them up an arms protesting against us.

  5. Never thought about it being tax day, but yeah the post fits, hmm serendipty much?

It is pretty sickening the use em and lose em philosphy both sides have with veterans. As with everything they just want to sweep them under the rug, unless they need votes.

    1. They wrap themselves up in the flag. We should really do is wrap them up in a carpet and bury them in the NJ pine barrens for their treatment of veterans.

    1. There is, is we could get a grass roots movement going for terms limits, publicly funded campaigns, make them pay for their own heath care, or give us theirs, let them only get paid for days they work, term limits, and enforce strong ethics rules. Let's make them live by our rules.

  7. If they experience what ordinary folks have to go through, they might be more compassionate and deliberate with their decisions ~ Good one specially # 1 ~

    1. Like I said, earlier we need a grass roots movement to push for a whole change in how our officials raise money, find a way to get rid of lobbyists, start terms limits and ton of restrictions. But we the people have to forget our parties affiliations and just work together to make those changes. Maybe just by the people working together across party lines could start a very drastic change in American politics.
